Future of Pakistan’s deep-sea port Gwadar

Gwadar the country’s largest deep-sea port came into being back in 2006, with the sole purpose of incrementing trade activities of Pakistan. Though initially development was slow, but with the inception of CPEC, it picked up the pace and Gwadar’s port is now one of the biggest projects of Pakistan. The Port of Gwadar is now more important than ever, if Pakistan wants a stable and a progressing economy , then the advancement of port is imperative. One belt, One road is one of the main projects of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). China plans to connect Gwadar and several other cities to its Xinjiang province in the west by a series of highways and roads. Then by doing so China can import all of its trading goods at Gwadar, and then transport them easily by traveling only a distance of 3000 Km.
